In this fast-paced and stressed world it is easy to be consumed by everything and become overwhelmed. When overwhelmed it is easy to return to an automatic reaction and tackle problems in counterproductive and unhealthy ways. ​Stress is a normal part of life. However, it is our relationship to stress that makes the difference. We cannot just overpower or beat stress. If we do, overtime the body and the mind will show symptoms that things need to change. It is imperative to be aware of the risks for encountering illness that brew over time due to chronic stress. Unexpected and uncontrollable events will occur in life. Having the ability to handle adversity as it arises is the key to managing stress. Releasing the tension and the negative charge from stress helps us to feel and perform better. We are better able to remain calm and focused when feeling pressured and frenzied.
